With summer fading, two bundles of light from the sunshine state arrived in Melbourne. The same week I meet two photographers in a bar. One has a friend with a vintage car. It was nice taking up four yacht club carpark spots whilst men high on privilege grew more mad.
Photography used to be mostly solitary for me. This day was a turning point and set the ball rolling for a much more social approach to capturing life on film. I'm so grateful to Josh Yenice who sat alone and waited for help without a phone after the engine overheated. He took some intense photos too. Also to Em Trewhella, Storm Nutting and Cooper Fennell for being stars whilst still oh so casual.
